Dr. Abhilasha Gaoture (Behere) is a distinguished figure in the field of pediatrics (बालरोगतज्ञ) in chandrapur district of Maharashtra state. Dr. Abhilash is popularly known as Tai, among people. Dr. Abhilasha completed her MBBS in 2001 from Indira Gandhi Government Medical College (IGMC) (Mayo Hospital), Nagpur and Post Graduation from Seth GS Medical College (KEM Hospital), Mumbai in 2006.

Personal Life of Dr. Abhilasha Gaoture (Behere)
Abhilasha was born on 23 Dec 1979 in a middle-class family in Nagpur city. She is the elder daughter among the four daughters of Mr. Keshav and Ms. Shakun Behere. Mr. Behere was a teacher by profession and became a banker in the Central Bank of India. Mother Shrimati Shakun Behere was an avid reader of revolutionary writers like Munshi Premchand, Ramdhari Singh ‘dinkar ‘, Maithili Sharan Gupta, St.kabir and many more. She had her early schooling at Indira Gandhi Nagar Parishad Vidyalaya, Shegaon in Buldhana district. She was a brilliant student at the time of academics in schooling and college life. In her early days, she was very much influenced by the thoughts and ideology of the great social reformer, which tended to her interest in social movement.
Dr. Abhilasha married Dr. Rakesh Gaoture in 2005, also a doctor specializing in Pathology. Dr. Rakesh Gaoture runs a laboratory named ‘Nidan’. They have a son named Prajyot. After marriage, she spent some time in Mul taluka, where she worked for malnourished children from remote locations.
